Transfer-in Application

Transfer-in application of Dual Degree Program in Technology & Management opens all year. Please note below for the eligibility and application procedures for admission.

Year-2 students studying in School of EngineeringSchool of ScienceSchool of Business and ManagementSchool of Humanities and Social Science and Interdisciplinary Programs Office who has

 

  • CGA 3.5 or above
  • HKDSE English Language 5 or above, and HKDSE Chinese Language 4 or above; or
    HKDSE English Language 5* or above, and HKDSE Chinese Language 3 or above; or
    IELTS ≥ 7.0 and no subgrade < 6.5; or
    LANG 1002/ 1003 ≥ A-
  • Students interested in Engineering majors must have taken and passed the following courses: (MATH1012 or MATH 1013 or MATH1023) AND (MATH1014 or MATH 1024) OR [MATH1020]
  • Students interested in Biotechnology must have taken and passed one of the the following courses: MATH1012, MATH1013, MATH1014, MATH1020, MATH1023, MATH1024, MATH2023, MATH2121, MATH2131
  • Students interested in Engineering majors or Biotechnology must have taken and passed one of the following courses: PHYS1112, PHYS1114, PHYS1312, PHYS1314, CHEM1010, CHEM1020 

We have a small quota for admitting students with ambition to pursue T&M-DDP.

For local students, please note that the fifth year of study is run on a self-financing basis and the tuition for the fifth year of study is HK$60,000 per annum (subject to revision). Local students who have achieved CGA of B+ or above at the end of the fourth year (including summer), will receive scholarships that cover the excessive amount of the tuition of the 5th year.

 

For non-local students, the tuition fee for the fifth year of study is the same as that for the first to fourth years of study, i.e. $140K per annum for students admitted in 2016-17.

  1. Application form for program transfer from ARRO or http://arr.ust.hk/reg/forms/r-6.pdf  (please refer to the list below and select one engineering discipline or one science discipline);
  2. One-pager personal CV with passport-size photo;
  3. Latest transcript;
  4. Public examination results (HKDSE, IB, AP, GCEAL, etc.) obtained prior to or after admission to the university;
  5. Other relevant supporting documents.

Note: Only 4Y Year 2 students studying (1) Biotechnology, (2) Biological Science or (3) Biochemistry and Cell Biology can select science discipline.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. Successful candidates will be arranged to transfer into the program in Fall Term. Courses taken in the previous year can be used to fulfill the graduation requirement of the dual degree program upon approval.
